The following items are needed to fuel and repair the 4x4 Truck: The 4x4 Truck is crafted in the Workbench using 4 Wheels, a 4x4 Truck Chassis, 4x4 Truck Accessories, a Engine and a Lead Car Battery. For reference the default player speed with 100% mobility (i.e unencumbered with no armor penalties) is 7 blocks/s while sprinting and 3.5 while walking. The 4x4 truck travels at 9 block/s without shift, and 14 blocks/s with shift. It hosts an exceptional 81 storage slots making it close to a portable base in terms of item capacity. The 4x4 Truck is the definitive late game vehicle (with only the end-game Gyrocopter beating it). In Multiplayer the 4x4 Truck can have a passenger, making it a 2 player vehicle. The radial menu may be accessed by holding over the vehicle. And even then, you can gain SO much oil shale from mining that gas becomes a complete non issue ever So don't hesitate to spend it.The 4x4 Truck is a type of vehicle in 7 Days to Die. So upping that will boost your gains from harvesting cars(not just of gas, but of all materials gained from it) and other dismantleable objects.Įdit 2: Oh.Also, You don't really have any other good uses for gas that will go through the abundance of what you can source via salvaging cars until very late game with gas powered tools Even generators don't soak up a lot of gas when powering a lot of traps and lights. :)Įdit: Oh And the amount of gas you get from cars is related to the Salvage Operations skill. Motorcycle also accelerates faster and can maintain full speed so long as there is gas.Īnd last and most importantly. The water drag of the motorcycle is also very slightly less So it's better for just riding through/under a river than the bicycle. 'Velocity Max' has two values, One for normal max speed, and one for sprint speed- As you can see, the motorcycles Normal speed is almost as fast as the bicycle's sprint speed And the sprint speed of the motorcycle is 40% faster than that of the bicycle. Is there a trick to using motor vehicles effectively, or are they garbage right now? Is there something I'm missing? This can't be right. So far, it seems like I need to use up all of the fuel in my storage in order to gingerly drive an extremely expensive motorcycle at speeds that are lower than what I'm used to getting on my 30+ day old bicycle. Plus, because the normie bike is cheap and rugged, I can ride it offroad whenever I like without worries! And the motorbike's "walk" speed is actually lower than the "sprint" speed on my normie bike - which is a speed I can maintain more or less indefinitely, thanks to my Stamina regen bonus. It's a little better than my bicycle when at 'sprint" speeds, but that consumes fuel like crazy. (!) And the worst part is, the motorcycle isn't even that fast. I took a leisurely drive down to the nearby trade post, which used up a little less than 10% of that gas. The tank took 2500 units of fuel, which for me is roughly 15 scrapped cars worth of salvage. Just made my first motorized vehicle - a motorcycle - and the results were.
